Children’s Art Museum

Siena’s Children’s Art Museum is part of the museum complex of Santa Maria della Scala. The museum offers a wide choice of activities subdivided into themed areas for different age groups, to help children become familiar with museum spaces and works of art. Inside there is a huge collection of works dedicated to childhood, from Etruscan, Greek and Roman artworks to contemporary art, united by themes such as portraits and fables, running from paintings on canvas through sculpture to photography and installations.

Practical workshops also allow visitors to discover the characteristic techniques of the works themselves, encouraging expressiveness through hands-on trial. Learning activities are designed to allow even the youngest children to enjoy an instructive and fun experience.
