PROGRAM
Friday
Check into the hotel upon arrival in Siena. Late afternoon welcome drink at a charming location in the heart of Siena and meeting with tour representative for a brief presentation of the weekend’s programme. Dinner (not included) and overnight stay at the hotel.
Saturday
Breakfast at the hotel. Then, meet up with tour guide for a day dedicated to the discovery of some of the hidden gems of the city.
First, a visit to the Museo delle Biccherne, housed in the Archivio di Stato, where a collection of 105 panels dating from 1258 to the 18th century is housed. The panels served as the covers of the administration registers of the Biccherna, the most important and oldest magistracy of the municipality di Siena. The works were initially created by painting directly onto the covers. Then, from the 15th century onwards, they became proper paintings by such renowned Sienese artists as Ambrogio Lorenzetti.
Next, lunch at a restaurant in the historic city centre.
Following lunch, the afternoon will be spent visiting botteghe storiche di Siena (historic artisanal workshops), discovering the secret locations of the city’s master craftspeople, including a visit to a 19th-century workshop which preserves traditions and knowledge handed down from generation to generation.
Finally, dinner at a restaurant and overnight stay at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time for exploring the city.
